Canadian Club of Ottawa Thanks our Sponsors and Supporters
We are very excited about the final four luncheons for this season and hope you will take a few moments to share the information below and encourage people to visit our website (www.canadianclubottawa.ca) to learn more about the events and to purchase tickets.
**Table purchase promotion: The Canadian Club is offering a table at each of three lunches for a total price of $1,500. Please contact Sonya at email@example.com directly to purchase
**The Canadian Club really is the premier networking event in Ottawa: networking reception starts at 11:30 with the luncheon to begin at noon.
April 18th: Corporate Governance is Canada’s Global Competitive Advantage . Come and hear Rahul Bhardwaj, President and CEO of the Institute of Corporate Directors, speak about treating corporate governance as a natural resource which we can export and use to our advantage in expanding our future as a trading nation. At a time of great upheaval among governments and corporations, Canada’s high standards of governance can act as a beacon in the flight to quality. But this will only happen if our leaders actively promote the idea that strong boards make strong organizations, make a strong country – and a stronger, safer world.
May 23rd: Public Opinion & Populism Politics. In light of recent political outcomes in the U.S. and other countries around the world, Nik Nanos will be speaking about the shifts in public opinion, the drivers of political decision making, and the expectations of voters in this new era.
June 13th: The Path to Canada: The Immigration Journey . Come and hear three remarkable Canadians tell their stories of how they came to Canada, their experiences in this country, and the impact that becoming “Canadian” has had on their lives. Getting at the heart of the mission of the Canadian Club of Ottawa, these real human stories will touch you and challenge what it means to be “Canadian” as we celebrate our 150th birthday as a nation.
We look forward to seeing you and your guests at the Canadian Club of Ottawa luncheon events, at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier.
